Clean your new silicone molds before their first use. You may either wash your mold by running it through the dishwasher, or hand wash with warm soapy water. Allow molds to fully airdry. (Do not use abrasive cleaning tools, pads, or scrubbers as this can cause blemishes or scratches and damage the mold surface. Instead, you may use a soft bristle brush if necessary.)

 

Store your molds properly when not in use to avoid potential damage, warping, or filth.

Important information regarding storing your molds:

• Store molds FLAT with the detail facing upwards to prevent warping or misshaping. DO NOT store the molds on uneven surfaces or stack them irregularly.
• DO NOT store the mold in contact with other types of silicone molds, as the molds may bond together over time.
• Storing your clean air-dried molds in loose-fitting Ziploc bags can help protect them between uses. DO NOT use snug or tight Ziploc bags as it may alter the shape of your mold.
• Placing parchment paper between your mold and any other silicone mold may reduce the risk of them bonding together and helps avoid potential contamination.
• Wash and thoroughly dry before use, per your company’s policies and procedures. Especially after extended storage periods.

TickerWorks food grade silicone molds are rated for continuous use in high temperature environments. The safe temperature range for continuous use of the molds is up to 302°F or 150°C. Do not heat or bake using hybrid microwave/convection ovens as the temperatures may exceed safe use levels. Over time, the molds may lighten in color, especially in the area where cavities are filled and removed.

 

Silicone molds require proper care. It is important to understand that over time, certain chemicals can cause surface tears that may eventually wear away the detailing of your mold. TickerWorks molds have minimal design patterns, are built for productivity, and come with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase. When de-molding, try to avoid stressing or tearing the mold. The lifetime of your mold is dependent upon how often you use the molds, but also your efforts to care for and store them properly, the more meticulous you are in your efforts to properly care for and store your molds, the longer they will last.
